When most people hear this question, they immediately think of a physical location. Like to the store, or work, even on a vacation with the family. However, most people have no idea where they are heading as it relates to their life. Goals, visions, dreams. What does your life look like in 5 years, 10 years, 30 years and beyond. If only living life was as easy as getting in the car and going to the next destination. It’s not! The truth is, when we all stop to take stock of our lives, we are all currently somewhere and I am not speaking to physical location. Maybe it’s a dead-end job that you hate. Maybe it’s you are an employee when the desire is to be an employer. Your bank account is short two zeroes, no savings or you are not earning what you are worth. There are seven key areas of life and where you are at any given moment will determine how much balance you have in your life, or you lack in your life.
Imagine a straight-line. In fact, draw a straight-line on a piece of paper. At the top of the paper write down career. This is one of the seven key areas of life. Now to the left of the line write the word Here. Then underneath write honestly about where you currently are in your career. Salary, title, employee, etc. Now mark through the things you are satisfied with and see no need for improvement. Now on the right side of the line write destination. This is where you want to be in these areas of your career you left unmarked on the left side. It may be $100K per year, business owner, manager (If you desire working up the corporate ladder), new job, etc. Now under the line itself this is labeled as the roadmap. In other words, how will you get to this destination? This will be your goals, both short-term and long-term. Plan of action and the work involved to make it happen. The law of attraction is very limited in this space, here is where the law of action reigns supreme. Work = Progress. I would say the first thing you need to do is humble yourself about where you are and how you got there. It might be subconscious habits that were formed that need to be eliminated or tweaked. It might be that you are pointing to the wrong destination. Maybe you are not inspired to be the CEO, you might love what you do, but just want to increase your income. Humbling yourself is a great way to evaluate where you are and what you really desire your life to look like. Some people are satisfied sitting on the couch, watch tv, eating bon bons daily, but I suspect this isn’t you since you are here on this website. If there is an area you would like to be coached in, please set up your discovery call and let’s get to work creating the lifestyle of your dreams.
